Dear Overberg Agri clients

As we approach the end of 2021, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support.

The past 2 years have been exceptionally challenging. The COVID-19 pandemic has, along with rising input costs and changing consumer preferences, put the South African agricultural sector under much strain. While the South African economy experienced a decline since the arrival of COVID-19, the sector is expected to be a key driver of our country’s economic recovery. Despite the Agbiz/IDC Agribusiness Confidence Index retracting to 67 points in the third quarter of this year, following the all-time high of 75 points in the second quarter, we are hopeful that the industry will continue to flourish.

Regardless of all the challenges that the past 2 years presented, our business also experienced some exciting milestones in 2021. We incorporated social media as part of our marketing strategy and have an active presence on both Facebook and LinkedIn. We launched an informative new video series called “Koffie Tyd,” which is available for viewing on our social media channels and the Overberg Agri website. We also launched our new client loyalty programme, as part of strategy to give our clients a greater stake in our business.
