The Roodebloem Farmers Day 2025 will take place on Thursday, 25 September, bringing together producers, advisors, and partners for a day filled with knowledge-sharing and networking. The programme starts with registration at 08:15, where guests will be welcomed with coffee and a light breakfast. True to tradition, Roodebloem hospitality will again be at the heart of the day, with refreshments throughout, a hearty lunch, and an evening dinner to round off the programme in good company.

Farmers can look forward to attending expert talks, viewing demonstrations, and connecting with industry specialists in an interactive environment. A highlight of the programme will be the keynote address by Minister of Agriculture John Steenhuisen, who will share his perspective on the future of farming in South Africa.
Programme Highlights
The day will begin with a presentation by Syngenta on Crop Wise, a digital agriculture platform that helps farmers make smarter decisions through real-time insights on crop health, field conditions, and farm performance.
This will be followed by an extended session on crop demonstrations and farming practices, where attendees will explore practical approaches to crop management. The three-hour session will offer farmers the chance to engage directly with experts and gain first-hand knowledge of new techniques.
In the afternoon, attention will shift to the mechanisation demonstration, showcasing the latest innovations and equipment in action. This will provide a valuable opportunity to see technology applied practically in the field.
The programme will conclude with a keynote address that promises to be an inspiring highlight by Minister of Agriculture John Steenhuisen, titled “The Future of Agriculture in South Africa: Challenges & Opportunities.” His address will provide perspective on the current landscape of the sector, as well as the opportunities ahead for local producers.
We look forward to welcoming farmers, partners, and guests to Roodebloem for what promises to be a memorable and insightful day. Keep an eye on our Facebook and YouTube channel for updates leading up to the event, as well as highlights afterwards.
