Overberg Agri would like to bid a hearty congratulations to Francois Uys from ‘Tussen Krale Boerdery’ for winning a Claas Axos 340C Tractor to the value of R790 000.
Acorn Agri & Food officially turned 100 years old in November 2018. As the Group’s oldest and largest subsidiary, Overberg Agri decided to celebrate the special occasion with something a little different.
At the end of August 2018, the business ran a “100 days of promotions” special within its retail stores in the Swartland and Overberg regions. Clients were required to purchase animal feed, veterinary medicine or Claas parts during the promotional period to stand a chance to win. With much excitement, 10 of the finalists were invited to the lucky draw, which took place at the spectacular Gabriëlskloof wine estate in Botrivier on the 1st of March 2019. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, each finalist was invited to draw a key from the bag. The catch? Only one of the keys would start the tractor. Francois Uys was the second contestant to attempt the task. With a deep breath, he turned the key and started the tractor! A suspenseful and memorable moment! In the spirit of good fun, each of the ten finalists received a mini Claas tractor figurine to take home.
May the tractor bring Francois and his family many more happy memories in the years to come!
