Overberg Agri’s annual Farmers Day will be taking place on Thursday the 29th of August at our experimental farm — Roodebloem. The pilot farm is located on the N2 highway, approximately 11 km east of Caledon.

Political commentator and journalist, Max du Preez, will be the speaker of the day. He is a Fellow in Applied Leadership Values at the University of Fort Hare and an Honorary Research Associate with the Centre for Film and Media Studies at the University of Cape Town. He was awarded the prestigious title of “Yale Globalist International Journalist of the Year” in 2006.

Du Preez is also the 2008 recipient of the SA National Editors Forum and Print Media SA’s prestigious Nat Nakasa Award for integrity and courage in journalism.

In addition to du Preez’ presentation, the programme also promises to include some implement and crop demonstrations, as well as insights into the most recent research projects undertaken at Roodebloem by the team from Overberg Agri.

It promises to be a wonderful event! We hope to see you there. To RSVP – please email Michael Gregory at michaelg@overbergagri.co.za
